WILMINGTON — Eunice Marley Small, wife of Jeff Small, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 77 years of age. A native of Wilmington, NC, she was born and lived most of her life in the coastal area.
Life for Eunice could be seen in her service to her community whether that be family, church, or workplace. Upon retirement from DuPont, completing 21 years of service, she devoted herself to her family and friends.
Eunice was known for her hospitality, her love for the Lord and her love for her family. Her life with Jeff can be pictured in the scripture, “No one has greater love [no one has stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends” (John 15:13, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Kemp and Blannie Wheeler Marley, four brothers, George Marley, Rev. Paul Marley, Ivey Marley, and Isaac Marley, and two sisters, Hazel Mills and Ruby Barnhill.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Small, her son Aaron Small, three brothers, JR Marley, Clyde Marley, and JT, (Pat) Marley, and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at Lake Waccamaw Cemetery Hillcrest.
