WILMINGTON — Bonnie Joan Liebmann May 28th, 1937 – August 3rd, 2022.
Mom has passed but she has not left us. Michael & Doug asked that I share this with all loving family & friends
A life truly lived. Savored, enjoyed, thriving & giving. Daughter, Sister, Mother, Wife, Aunt, Devoted Grandmother. Mom was committed to her children & family, a beloved & loyal friend, dedicated to the arts, to community, charitable support and to the love & care of her pets. Mom was lifetime focused on making this a more beautiful, better world and bringing smiles to all who knew and would meet her. Mom brought music to this world, to her family and as an amazing vocalist to Broadway audiences. Mom performed with some of the best theater companies of the 1950’s. West Side Story with Carol Lawrence, Happy Hunting with Ethel Merman, Summer Stock with Zero Mostel among them.
Her decade+ commitment & ambassadorship with the Metropolitan Opera to bring the live performance experience to a wider audience by way of developing local community support for HD broadcast to movie theaters, was effort & outcome nothing short of inspirational. Mom was in our lives every day and she lived with vitality.
Mike, Doug, and I are deeply grieving with her sudden passing. Forever with our love as her son’s and presently seeing to her wishes and direction and to ensuring a forever place with her beloved Peter.
A future Memorial Service for Mom & Celebration of her life will be announced. Today, enjoy Opera from the Met, connect with your family, pet your dog or cat, support & give to those in need, look at the flowers a little longer and when you do, please think of Mom.
The family welcomes your memories to add to this post in loving tribute to Mom. Please share this post with friends in Mom’s life .
