WILMINGTON — Margaret Ann Creasy Ciardella of Wilmington, NC passed away at her home on July 22, 2022. She was born on August 21, 1942, to the late Randall and Vera Creasy in West Virginia. Margaret, who was one of twelve children, spent her youth in Portage, Indiana.
In 1967 she moved to Wilmington, NC where she would attend and graduate from UNCW in 1984 and the UNC School of Law in 1987. In August 1987 she was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar. Margaret was an avid reader, phenomenal cook plus a passionate gardener and bird watcher. She used her many talents to advocate for those in her community that needed assistance. Margaret was a wonderful lady and exceptional mother.
She is survived by her son, Mario Ciardella of Raleigh; sister Barbara Nichols, brothers, Brooks, Joseph, Larry and Steryl Creasy, Jr; fur family Miles and Avery; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the City of Wilmington Police Department, and the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Division for taking care of Miles.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, July 30 from 2 pm until a service begins at 3 pm at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington.
