Brock Emery Beagle, 40, passed away on June 27, 2022 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center with his loving wife, Caroline, by his side.
Brock suffered a massivestroke on June 8, 2022. He fought hard for weeks but was unable to recover from the damage hesustained from the stroke.
Brock was born on November 14, 1981 in Norfolk, Virginia to Sharon Buckner and Wayne Beagle.
Brock loved the water from the first time he encountered it until his last day on earth. He grew up surfing and skateboarding with his brother, cousins and friends. He graduated from Frank W. Cox High School in 2000. After graduation, Brock moved to Lake Tahoe for the ski season before moving to Wilmington, North Carolina where he spent the remainder of his life. Following in his father’s footsteps who was a builder, Brock became a skilled framer. He had remarkable talent with many plans and hopes for the future. Brock was full of life and loved by all. He spread his joy with his contagious laugh and smile. His presence constantly reminded others of the happiness in the world. He was genuine, kind and sincere; but Brock’s greatest gift was his unconditional love for his family and friends and most of all his wife, Caroline. Brock found the love of his life three short years ago. Caroline and Brock married in October 2021. The love that they have for one another is a love that is searched for and rarely found. Brock touched the lives of many with his generosity and passion for life. His loved ones will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Brock is survived by his wife, Caroline R. Lofthus; his parents, Sharon Buckner (Joe) and Kim and Wayne Beagle; and his brother, Blake Beagle. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Sharon and Brian Beagle, Linda Beagle, Cindy and Ronald Beagle, Steven Beagle, Michael Dugger, Becky Dugger and Joe Annette, Debbie and Tim Knowles, and Marie and Mike Funk; and his many cousins, Tenneil Staats (Junior), Marissa Jane (Aaron), Desiray Gunter (Bobby), Kyle Beagle, Caitlin Lucas (Carston), Matt Beagle, Brett Beagle, Renee Sainato (Zach), Hunter Beagle, Nicole Rice, Jennifer Shull (Josh), Stephanie Kaplan (John), Lauren Abernathy (Lee), James Funk, Belinda Shatto, Mary King (Kevin), and Rachel Precht (Rob). Surviving as well are Kathy and Gary Lofthus; Laura Lofthus; Kent Lofthus; Carrie and CJ Mincey; and his niece and nephew, Carper and Fletcher Mincey.
Brock was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn and James Beagle; Patricia Clark and Ralph Dugger; and Ruby and Charles Hubbard; and his uncle, James Beagle.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 2:00 pm at 2637 Middle Sound Loop Road, Wilmington, North Carolina 28411.
