LELAND — Carol Lee Hewett, 91, “Grandma” left us for her heavenly home on Monday, April 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleta Hughes Smith and Dagget Calvin Smith, her husband, Robert Clayton Hewett, two sons: Lewis Phillip Hewett and Clayton Wayne Hewett; daughter-in-law Emma Hewett; son-in-law Edwin Creech; her granddaughter, Brittany Leigh Hewett.
Left to cherish her memory are: Wanice (Peggy) Hewett, Marcia Creech, Karen (Dale) Roberts, Terry (Anita) Hewett; Darryl (Cathy) Hewett; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, April 15, 2022, 4:00 PM, at Community Chapel Baptist Church on Malmo Road, NC.
