WILMINGTON — Richard Allen Wessinger, Jr. 36 of Wilmington died Tuesday January 25, 2022 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Ricky was born in Lexington, SC on October 10, 1985 to his parents Richard Allen Wessinger, Sr. and Tonya Machealle Smith Ray. He was a chemical Operator by trade, and was a avid fisherman and loved the Georgia Bulldogs.
Surviving are his wife of 5 years Carlyn Ion Wessinger; sons Brayden “Bubba” Wessinger and Taelon Long; daughter Kennedy “Keke” Wessinger; his parents Perry and Toyna Ray; sister Casey Wessinger and spouse Jessica Duncan.
The family will have a time of celebration on Sunday January 30, 2022 from 1:00 PM Until 2:30 PM at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
