BOLIVIA — Mr. Charles Jeffrey Crawford 68, of Bolivia passed away on January 18, 2022. He was born in Whiteville, NC, the son of the late Charles Byron Crawford and Orine Shelley Crawford. Jeff graduated from Acme-Delco High School, UNC Wilmington and obtained his master’s degree from Troy University. A proud veteran, he served in the US Navy for 8 years and sailed the world aboard the USS Coral Sea. He completed his master’s degree while in the Navy.
After serving his country, Jeff was a counselor for troubled youth at the Boys and Girls Home in Lake Waccamaw, NC and served as a school counselor for the Bladen County School System. Jeff was a kind and trusting soul who loved a good joke (a definite family trait). He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two brothers, Freddy Crawford of Bolivia, NC and Alan Crawford of Southport, NC; an uncle, Melvin Crawford of Delco, NC; two aunts, Selena Floyd of Loris, SC and Elizabeth Henry of Union Mills, NC; and a host of cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Liberty Hospice for their care and support.
His family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home.
