WILMINGTON — Born in Brooklyn, New York on June 21st, 1938, Kathleen Mary Draghi was a spectacular mother and youngest of three siblings. She passed away peacefully with a smile on her face on January 10th, 2022 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
As a devout Byzantine Catholic, she prayed the Rosary every morning and never took the Lord’s name in vain.
“Nanny” was a loving grandmother who loved to crochet and craft, watch movies with the family, and play cards with her friends at Brunswick Bridge Club. Her mind was sharp as a tack and loved word games, reading the latest James Patterson book, and playing board games.
“G-nanny” was an accepting ally to her many LGBTQ family members and welcomed all into her home. She loved to cook and could bake masterpieces in the kitchen.
Kathleen was predeceased by her father William and mother Theresa Johnson, sister Jane Fazio, daughter Kerry Burnham, son Billy McGoldrick, and grandson EJ Burnham.
She is survived by her sister Helen Fedoris, daughters Mary McGoldrick and Linda Baum-McGoldrick, daughter Kara and son-in-law Jimmy Moore, grandchildren TK Burnham, Nicole Cancellaro, Danielle Cancellaro, Billy Cancellaro, and Kerry Moore, great-grandchildren Marley Cancellaro, Kayden Edghill, and nieces and nephews Frank Fazio, Bobby Fazio, Patrick Fazio, Pamela Albicocco, and Drew Fedoris.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 14th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Andrews Mortuary – Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC, 28412. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of services.
