LELAND — Ronald M. Palakovich, 69, of Leland, NC, passed away on December 30, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. He was the husband of Suzanne (Schoch) Palakovich.
Born in Rochester, PA, Ron was the son of the late John and Lillian (McGurk) Palakovich. He worked in the Maintenance Department of International Paper, retiring after 37 years of service.
In addition to his wife Suzanne, he is survived by daughters Erin Miller and her husband James, and Colleen Collins and her husband John; son Corey Palakovich and his wife Olivia; step-son Chris Benton and his wife Kristen; grandchildren Christian, Benjamin, Reagan, Colbie, Keanen, Cole, Chandler, Hannah and Lillian; brother John Palakovich and his wife Joyce; sisters Nancy Raposa and Patricia Clayton and her husband Edward.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 6, at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, 28401, where friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of services. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington.
