WILMINGTON — Teresa Futch Ritter, age 70 of Wilmington passed away November 13, 2021.
Born in Charlotte, NC to the late William Vance Futch, Sr and Thelma (Sue) Lewis Futch. She is also predeceased in death by her brother William Vance Futch, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Dewey L Ritter, III; their daughter Amanda L Ritter; sisters Janet Futch Caviggia (Michael) and Wanda Futch Snipes (Robert); and nieces and nephew Christy Caviggia Deal, Shanna Lynn Snipes, and Michael Bryan Caviggia.
Teresa was retired from the ADM (Pfizer) Southport plant. She enjoyed reading, exercising at the senior center, and crocheting. She loved being with her friends at the Prayer Shaw Ministry and the Fellowship Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. She also enjoyed the many friends she met at the Community Bible Study. But above all she was a Christian loving wife, mother, daughter and sister.
Teresa was a 28-year Stage IV breast cancer survivor, and always considered herself a walking miracle following high dose chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. She was the ultimate optimist.
Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Friday November 19, 2021 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Wilmington, NC. It will be preceded by a visitation hour beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wilmington, Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Foundation or any charity of your choice.
