WILMINGTON — Glenn (Butch) Lesley York, 78, of Greensboro, NC, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care.
Butch worked with Local Union 72 as an insulator. A wonderful man and the best Daddy anyone could ask for and we spent a lot of time together doing the things he loved including gardening and fishing.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Lesley Frank York, mother, Helen Summers York, wife Ethel Ann York, sons Charles David Mize and Joseph (Joey) Wayne York.
Surviving is his sister, Patricia LeFebvre; daughter (Susie) Carolyn Renee York; grandchildren, Thomas C. Sliva and wife Christy, Leslie Harvey and husband Jacob; great-grandchildren, Addison Nicole Loveless, Kinsley Paige Sliva, Raegan Elizabeth Harvey and Owen Edward Harvey as well as very close niece, Moochie Milks, close cousins, JoAnn Cox and Judy Sullivan. Also, many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care or Dementia and Parkinson’s research.
