SOUTHPORT — Michael Rolland Clune, age 85, of St James Plantation of Southport, North Carolina passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021 with his devoted wife by his side.
Michael was born in Oakland, California, on January 28, 1936 to the late Rolland and Emily Clune. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan, his brother Tim (Pam) Clune; and his sister, Megan (Mike) Cramer; his grandson, Rick Adrian. (Mary Kate); his new great-granddaughter (Charlotte) and loving nieces and nephews. Mike proudly served his country and is a respected veteran.
He was a Past President and active with the Kiwanis and Meals on Wheels. He was a lifelong hunter, fisherman, golfer, boater, card player, storyteller, and jokester. He will be missed by his friends and family, and especially his loving wife.
A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Monday, September 27th, 2021 at 11 AM in the Peacock Newnam & White Chapel, with a reception to follow.
