WILMINGTON — Gerald Ray Farrell, 73, loving husband and father, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.

Gerald was born July 4, 1947, in Shelbyville, Indiana, to Naomi and Frank Farrell. He graduated Southwestern High School in 1965 and Ball State University in 1969. Gerald worked at Cummins Engine Company for 33 years in North American sales until his retirement in 2007.

Gerald was a hard worker and liked to do things right. Although a quiet man, Gerald was as sincere as they come. He was dedicated to his family and never missed his grandchildren’s sporting events and performances. He also loved to attend outdoor concerts with Nancy. He was a hospice volunteer for eight years and delivered food for Good Shephard Ministry.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Naomi and Frank; and his brother, Duane.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy; sons, Brandon (Stephanie) and Barry (Chrissy); and grandchildren, Graham, Kennedy, Hudson, Ellie and Noah.

Gerald leaves behind a life well-lived and an amazing family that gave him great pride, support and love over the year.
