OAK ISLAND — George Robert Sturm, 67, peacefully passed away with his family at his side Wednesday, June 16, 2021. George Robert was born May 10, 1954.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Barbara Harris; and nephew, Adam Wilcox.
He is survived by his sisters, Lynne (Gary) Wilcox and Suzanne Sturm (John) Dunkle; nephew, Shaun (Kimberly) Wilcox; niece, Haven Fyfe (Dan) Kiernan and Nora Jablonski; nephew, Ezra (Anya) Dunkle-Polier; several grand-nephews, grand-niece and friends too numerous to count.
George Robert was known for his love of family, friends, the beach, music and horseracing.
The family will receive friends in remembrance of George Robert from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 28, at Peacock-Newnam & White Chapel in Southport.
