LELAND — Roland Lee Baker, 40, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Ann Baker for almost 6 years. He was born Nov. 4, 1980, to parents, Faith Worrell Perdue and James Harvey Baker, in High Point.
Roland was a talented mechanic who worked in the automotive industry for most of his life. He was especially fond of Jeeps and motorcycles. Often you could find him laughing, joking, cutting up and playfully picking on those he loved. He enjoyed guns, bourbon, the beach, fishing and spending time with his seven dogs. He was a dedicated member of Lifepoint Church in Leland and loved his church family.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Megan Hale, Allison Hale, McKenzie Baker, Mason Baker, Logan Hale and Sammy Hale; siblings, Harvey Baker (April), Heather Baker, Stacy Hicks (Gabe) and Timmy Lockhart; stepmother, Yvonne Baker; and step-father-in-law, Larry Long. He will be missed greatly by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, at Lifepoint Church, Leland campus. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow directly after services in Greenlawn Cemetery.
