WILMINGTON — J.H. Kelly, 85, faithful servant of God, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loyal friend, passed Monday, May 24, 2021, at his home. He was born in Columbus County, the son of the late Van Kelly and Nina Smith Kelly.
J.H. graduated from New Hanover High School. He was a member of The Gideon’s International. He was a salesman for Sears Roebuck and Co. for 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lucille Duski and Elizabeth Maultsby; and brothers, Robert Kelly, Layton Kelly and Blake Kelly.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Faye Stocks Kelly; two sons, Tony Kelly, and his wife, Minerva, of N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Tim Kelly, and his wife, Brooke, of Wilmington; daughter, Sandra Britt of Freeman; grandchildren, Nina Britt, T.J. Kelly, and his wife, Scot, Kelli Faulk, Lacie Kelly, Abigail Delacruz, and her husband, Geovanny, Stephanie Kelly, Luke Kelly, Brittney Kelly and Ellis Kelly; great-grandchildren, Andee Grace Faulk, Pearson Faulk, Jamie Kelly, Olivia Britt, Ayden Delacruz and Ariana Delacruz; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 27, at Union Grove PFWB Church in Delco with the Rev. Julian McMillian officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be T.J.
