WILMINGTON — Mary Darlene Jackson Hanson, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 19, 1939, in Chico, California, to the late Thomas E. Jackson and Rosa Lee Jackson.
In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, George Robert Hanson; brother, Albert A Jackson; sister, Patricia R. Jackson; and grandson, Joshua A. Yonkers.
Mary is survived by her son, James Daniel Dyches Jr. (Mavis) of Dallas, Pennsylvania; daughter, Lori Darlene Roberts (Eddie Jay Elleman) of Wilmington; son, Albert Alan Dyches (Gina) of Jackson, South Carolina; daughter and loving caregiver, Lisa D. Greenwood of Wilmington; son, Brian D. Co (Boosakorn Sanguansakdikosol) of Camas, Washington; son, Jason D. Co (Phuong) of San Jose, California; son, Desiderio Co Jr. (Laura) of San Francisco, California; brothers, Thomas E. Jackson Jr. and Charles Jackson; sister, Judith Adams; grandchildren, Justin Jackson, Joey Co (Olivia), Jeremey Dyches, Cassandra Borthwick (John), Jacob Yonkers, Jeff Roberts (Samantha), Alan Dyches Jr. (Christine), Jared Williams (Stephanie), Mary McQuillan, Timothy Greenwood (Terra), Alyssa Co (Cody), Heather Greenwood, Brandon Dyches (Melissa), Samantha Jacquez, Sierra Co, Ethan Co, Ashley Dyches, Natalie Co, Lucas Co, Bryson Co and Warren Co; 28 great-grandchildren; and beloved grand-puppy, Girlie Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial donations be made in Mary’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
