WILMINGTON — Myrtle Patricia Amann, 84, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Wilmington.
She was born Oct. 16, 1936, in New Hanover County to the late Walter J. Hobbs and Eula Kathern Carter Hobbs. Myrtle attended Ogden Baptist Church, Wilmington, and the parishioners were like a second family to her.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, William Francis Amann; son, William McLean Amann; daughter, Patricia Ann Potter Mitchell; sister, Elizabeth Kathern Hobbs Henegar; and brothers, James Jackson Hobbs and Chester McLean Hobbs.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 22, at Ogden Baptist Church, 7121 Market St., Wilmington, with Pastor Danny Justice officiating.
