WILMINGTON — Fannie Lorie O’Connell, 66, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Ray Lewis Stanley.
Lorie moved to Wilmington in 1961 and attended New Hanover High School. She was a legal secretary for most of her career and also worked as an administrative assistant at a local high school.
She was the wife of William O’Connell of Wilmington.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
