WILMINGTON — Venessa Michelle Bradshaw Ziegler, 51, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at NHRMC. She was born June 14, 1969, in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Donald David Bradshaw Sr. and Joann Moore Riley of South Carolina.

Venessa loved spending time with her son listening to music, watching movies and traveling to new places. She also loved all animals and rescued and rehabilitated many of them over the years.

Surviving are her husband, Curtis D. Ziegler of the home; son, Tyler William Ziegler of the home; brother, Donald David Bradshaw Jr., and his wife, April, of Wilmington; half-sister, Victoria Leanne Fargo; stepmother, Judy King Bradshaw of Wilmington; aunts, Gaye B. Keller of Wilmington and Georgia Altman, and her husband, Jimmy, of Southport; and several cousins of Wilmington and Tennessee.

The family will be holding a private service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Venessa Michelle’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association; Carolina Donor Services, Durham; or animal shelter of your choice.
