WILMINGTON — Veronica Nichole “Nikki” Ward, 20, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021. She was born Dec. 15, 2000, in Robeson County.
Nikki was a graduate of New Hanover High School and currently an associate at Walmart store in Porters Neck.
Remembered are her maternal grandparents, Gene Wood and Julia Wood, who preceded her in death.
Nikki is survived by her father, Alfred Ray Ward II of Whiteville; mother, Deena Fowler Ward of Wilmington; paternal grandfather and grandmother, Alfred Ray Ward Sr. and Veronica Ward of Whiteville; paternal uncles and aunt, Eric Ward, Heath Ward, Brett Ward and Rendora Ward; maternal uncle and aunts, Gene Wood Jr., Erica Estep and Marinda Estep; special friend, Will Bello; and many cousins, extended family members and friends.
Memorial services will be planned for a later date.
