Pat Johnson, 67, inspiring Little League Baseball coach

WILMINGTON — Pat Johnson, 67, died peacefully Sunday, March 14, 2021.

He loved his devoted wife, Linda; and sons, Daniel and William. He will be missed by his sisters, Glenda Peele and Julia Knox.

He is survived by two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo S. and Julia Christina.

Pat was born in Raleigh and raised in Fayetteville. He graduated from UNCW with a degree in criminology. He served in the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C., for 27 years, before retiring and returning to Wilmington in 2018. Pat was a true outdoorsman. He shared his love with his sons, including fishing, boating and hunting.

He was a member of Izaak Walton League and Buccaneer Gun clubs. Pat loved Little League Baseball and was an inspiring coach in Virginia and South Carolina. Pat was a life loyal brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and enjoyed the competitive TKE horseshoe tournaments.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 20, at the Oleander Memorial Gardens.
