SOUTHPORT — Fred Lee Timms, 78, was born March 20, 1942, in Abbeville, South Carolina, and peacefully passed Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, after relocating for independent senior living in the peace and tranquility of the Southport waterfront and his family.
Fred was a South Carolina Mason/Shriner and a U.S. Navy veteran. He loved his family and good ole southern banana pudding.
He is leaving behind his wife of 54 years, Pauline Timms of the home; stepchildren, Bill Whaley (Marsha) of Kelly, Larry Bearden of Greenwood, South Carolina, and Gail Bramble (William Gary) of Oak Island; grandchildren, Sonny Spearman (Missy), Billy Whaley, Lauren Bramble Broadwell (Andy), Grover Bearden (Chastity) and Sabrina Stanley; great-grandchildren, Will Spearman (Emily) with Windley and Wyleigh; making him a great-great Pawpaw, Madison Spearman, Fisher and Garrison Broadwell, Brandon Whaley, Ruby Laken Bearden, Kennady Bearden, Hunter and Chloe Bearden; many nieces and nephews; as well as all of whom he adored.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Rosa Nash of Greenville, South Carolina; granddaughter, Angela Spearman of Greenville, South Carolina; and grandson, William James Bramble of Oak Island.
A private family graveside service will be held.
