Mrs. Hearne was a graduate of Ashland Senior High School. She elected to continue her education at Peabody College, now part of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her first job following her college graduation was an H.R. position with Kentucky Power and Electric.

Hearne, Joseph C. Hearne III, Benjamin L. Hearne, Evan T. Johnson, Dylan C. Johnson, Ava G. Johnson and Tolson T. Jackson.
