CALABASH — Nancy M. Andrews, 76, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2021.
Born Dec. 9, 1944, in New Hanover County, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Mote and Anna Nall Mote. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Goff.
She was a graduate of New Hanover High School and went on to work in the banking industry in Charlotte and Richmond, Virginia. She retired as an assistant vice-president at the age of 51. After moving home to North Carolina, she became certified as a firefighter and EMT with the Ocean Isle Beach Fire Department.
Surviving are her husband, Jesse Dan Andrews; and daughter, Beth A. Moore (Malcolm) of Calabash.
A visitation with family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte. Social distancing will be observed and masks required. A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date to be announced.
If she could speak, she would say, “don’t cry for me, I’ve had a good life with no regrets.”
