WILMINGTON — Mary Louise Johnson Miller, 97, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021.
Mary was born in Washington, D.C., to the late Charles Irving Johnson Sr. and Nannie Elizabeth Burke Johnson and was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charlie E. Miller.
Mary is survived by four daughters, Barbara (Mike) Abernathy, Margaret (Brook) Lindbert, Joan (Steve) Russell and Patricia (Bob) Farmer; sons, Michael (Kathy) Miller and Charles (Gigi) Miller and was preceded in death by sons, Bobby, Eddie and Paul Miller; and daughter, Mary Lynn Dixon. Mary is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rudyk and the staff of Autumn Care for their care and compassion of our dear mother and grandmother, and special thanks to Margaret and Brook Lindbert, who took extra good care of our mother for a long time, enabling her to travel and enjoy living the life that she deserved.
Mary died knowing that she was in Jehovah God’s memory and that a wonderful life in a paradise on earth awaits her in the future.
The family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
