WILMINGTON — Raymond Paul Buteau, 63, left for his heavenly home Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021. He was born Feb. 25, 1957, in Fairfax County, son of John Henry and Cecile Godin Buteau, the fifth of seven children.
Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Army. After discharge, he served as a policeman in South Carolina before earning a degree from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina. He then enjoyed a career in restaurant design and sales. He loved and was loved by his family.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Susan; two daughters, Maria Buteau of Steven Point, Wisconsin, and Jessica Ewald of Cedar Park, Texas; three grandsons, Nicholas Green, Ethan Ewald and Adam Ewald of Cedar Park, Texas; stepsons, Trip, Stuart, Peter and Ned Moore and their wives; step-grandchildren, Jacob, Caroline, Ashley, Ruby, Wyatt, John and Bobby Moore; and siblings, John Buteau, Diane Painter, Dennis Buteau, Vivian Davis, Mary Buteau and Nancy Mabry.
