WILMINGTON — The Rev. Johnny P. Wise, 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Juanita Wise of the home; children, Todd Wise (Cynthia) of Atlanta, Georgia, Terry Wise of Wilmington, Alvenia Parson (James) of Newport News, Virginia, Sherry Dendy (Thomas) of Greer, South Carolina, Shenita Josey (Anthony) of Clarksburg, Maryland, LaShawn Myers of Atlanta, Georgia, Carolyn Temoney of Fayetteville, Louis Williams of Wilmington and Terry Spicer (Stacey) of Raleigh; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. The viewing will be walk-through only with no gathering or lingering. A celebration of Rev. Wise’s life will be conducted at noon, Friday, Feb. 5, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, New Centre Location, 4925 New Centre Drive, Wilmington. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington. Kindly note that for the protection of all in attendance, current health and safety protocols are in place where masks and social distancing are required.
