SHALLOTTE — Sandra Owens Hinman, 78, formerly of Mathews, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021.
She was born April 24, 1942; attended New Point Elementary School; and graduated from Mathews High School, Class of 1959, and Pan American Business School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Everett Owens and Louise Hudgens Owens; brother, Thomas Everett Owens Junior; and niece, Mandy Matthews.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Hinman; daughter, Kathy Hinman Walker (Bill); and two grandchildren, Cassandra (Cassie) Lynn Walker and William P. Walker IV. She is also survived by her sisters-in law, Ann Colby (John) of Rappahannick and Margaret Owens of Mathews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Locust Grove United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Locust Grove United Methodist Church.
