BOLIVIA — Gladys Warren Bogan, 96, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2021.
Mrs. Bogan was born Dec. 4, 1924, in Charlotte to the late Grover Rufus Warren and Bertha Horton Warren.
Her late husband was the Rev. Robert Bogan, a Methodist minister. They were married 60 years until his passing in 2005. Together, they served several Wesleyan and Methodist Churches in the Western North Carolina Conference. She was a loving mother who never met a stranger. She will be remembered for her kindness and happy spirit. Mrs. Bogan was always happy to share her love for Jesus to all she met.
Survivors include her son, Bob Bogan, and his wife, Cathy, of Bethany; four grandchildren, Kevin Scott, Cassie Kimbrell, and her husband, Michael, Larry Auman Jr. and Andrew Auman, and his wife, Jenny; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ava and Clare; brother, G.R. Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calvin Bogan Sr.; and daughters, Judy Bogan Auman and infant daughter, Quinette Bogan.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her grandson, Larry Auman Jr., and her caregivers, Iris Spencer and Linda Brown, for their excellent care over the last several years.
