SUPPLY — Maria Carmela “Millie” Prezioso Esposito, 96, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Universal Healthcare Brunswick. Maria was well known as Millie to most. Millie was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Bronx, New York, of the late Anthony Prezioso and Maria Racioppo.
Millie married Anthony Louis Esposito Sept. 19, 1953, and enjoyed 65 years of marriage.
In her early career, Millie worked as a seamstress making swimsuits during World War II. She then became employed as a cafeteria worker at Norwalk High School, Norwalk, Connecticut.
Millie and Anthony moved to Supply to be near their son and daughter and their families as they enjoyed their golden years. Millie enjoyed cooking, sewing, making crafts, traveling and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Esposito.
Mrs. Esposito is survived by her daughter, Linda Maria Purcell of Supply; son, Michael Anthony Esposito (Cara) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Nicholas Anthony Purcell (Ivy) of Hanover, Maryland, Ashley Maria Purcell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Thomas Michael Esposito of Wilmington; and siblings, Michael Prezioso, Ralph Prezioso, Alphonse Prezioso, Madeline Prezioso and Joseph Prezioso.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 11, at White Funeral & Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Hwy E., Bolivia.
