David Allan Brown, 69, gifted musician who sang with a joyful heart

WILMINGTON — David Allan Brown, 69, born July 15, 1951, returned to his heavenly Father Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. David passed away at home with his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Sandra Brown, at his side.

David’s children are Eric Brown, and his wife, Kristina, Richelle Mathieu, and her husband, Jean-Baptiste, and Kathleen Susko, and her husband, Joseph. His biggest joy was in his nine grandchildren, Andrew, Felicia, Olivia, Ethan, Sophia, Dana, Nathan, Ambre and Chloe. David also leaves behind his loving brother, Jim, and his wife, Kay, and their sons; brother-in-law, Keith, and his wife, Tami, and family; as well as countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

David was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. After seven and a half years of service, he returned to civilian life. He cared deeply about his country and veterans and was an active member of the American Legion for over 30 years.

David and his family enjoyed camping, fishing, barbecuing and every chance to celebrate life together. He and his wife started their own Karaoke business in 2016. David was a gifted musician and sang with a joyful heart. David is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A private memorial service is planned for February.
