
CAROLINA SHORES — Albert Roy Mangel II, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020.
Born June 12, 1948, in Niagara Falls, New York, he was a son of the late Samuel Arthur Mangel and Stasha Bickford Mangel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Mangel.
He was a retired engineer for the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) and a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Victoria Herbert Mangel; children, Julie Kidwell (Robert) of Leonardtown, Maryland, Albert Roy Mangel III (Brenda) of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Tara Payne (Todd) of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Shane Daniel Blodgett (Kimberly) of Hollywood, Maryland, Belinda Lynn Quade (Michael) of Mechanicsville, Maryland, and Ryan Liljenquist (Ashli) of Alpine, Utah; brothers, Tom Mangel of New York, Kenny Mangel of Mount Rainier, Maryland, and Terry Joe Mangel of Lusby, Maryland; sisters, Eleanor Haag of New York and Mellie Craine of Lockport, New York; and 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
