Amanda Latrice Key, 37, always kept a smile on her beautiful face

Amanda Latrice Key

WILMINGTON — Our beloved Amanda Latrice Key, 37, was called home Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020. She was born on the special day of June 4, 1983, in the Bronx, New York.

While residing in the Bronx, she attended P.S. 136: The Roy Wilkins School and Aldai E. Stevenson High School. She lived in Queens, New York, with her mother and sisters for some years, where her son Jaden was born. Amanda spent the rest of her days in Wilmington, where she worked in patient care at Trinity Grove Senior Living Community. She loved her job and her patients because she loved being able to help and comfort others.

Amanda was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was such a beautiful soul, always willing to give and share with others. She was the best role model her son and her sisters could ask for, always loving and encouraging them to be great.

Amanda loved dancing, swimming, spending time with her son, traveling and experiencing new things that life had to offer. She had a fun, optimistic spirit and she always kept a smile on her beautiful face. Amanda will be greatly missed, but she will be in our hearts for eternity.

Amanda is survived by her son, Jaden McGee; mother, Wilhemina Key; father, Michael Moore; sisters, Latoya Key, Avril Key, Lastyne Bonner, Takoya Gordon and Sharay Pinn; and so many other family members and friends who loved her.

Share online condolences with the family at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory.
