ST. JAMES — Karen Tallone Vig, 70, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare with her husband, John, and daughter, Rachel, by her side.
Karen was born Aug. 25, 1950, in Washington, D.C. She was a 1969 graduate of St. Anthony High School, Trenton, New Jersey.
Karen worked for the State of New Jersey, Department of Education for 41 years.
Karen and John moved to St. James in Southport from Hamilton, New Jersey, in 2010. Karen was very active in the St. James community, golfing, playing Mah jongg and several other social activities with friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Joyce L. Tallone.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter, Rachel; son-in-law, Ken; and cherished grandsons, Nolan and Gavin.
She leaves behind her loving husband, John; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Kenneth Muits of Hamilton, New Jersey; two adoring grandsons, Nolan and Gavin Muits; sisters, Monica (Al) Frascella, Carmela Spych and Gabrielle (Joe) Barry; brother, John (Patty) Tallone; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Services will be private.
