Lee Charles Stout, 60, known for his wonderful sense of humor

WILMINGTON — Lee Charles Stout, 60, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020. He was born Oct. 28, 1959, to Louis John Stout and Anne (Carothers) Stout. He was raised in Nyack, New York.

His parents preceded him in death.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Christine (DeGroat) Stout; son, Ryan Stout; daughters, Allison Stout and Sarah Stout; sisters, Kathy Elmendorf and Joanne Gleason; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Brooke DeGroat; sister-in-law, Stephanie VanDerHeide, and her family; brother-in-law, Michael DeGroat, and his family; many nieces and nephews; and special friend and companion, “Abbie.”

Lee had a wonderful sense of humor, always making people laugh. He enjoyed working on computers and cars. He was employed by New York State Bridge Authority and worked on the Bear Mountain Bridge, in particular. He loved his kids very much.

A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
