Pamela Kay Femrite, 74, remembered for her devotion to family and community

OCEAN ISLE BEACH — Pamela Kay Femrite, 74, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2020.

Born Sept. 10, 1945, in Jamestown, North Dakota, she was a daughter of the late Lerond Allen Wiese and Irma King Wiese. She married Rod Femrite June 3, 1966, in Jamestown, North Dakota.

She was a retired medical technician and member of Camp United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Rod Femrite; daughter, Sara Mitchell (Keith) of Morrisville; sons, Darin Femrite (Ann) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Chad Femrite of New Bern; sisters, Elizabeth “Beth” Grunewalder (John) of Ocean Isle Beach, Joan Slusser (Jon) of Jamestown, North Dakota, and Connie Clooten (Clem), Fairbanks, Alaska; and grandchildren, Luz Femrite and Audrey Mitchell.

She will always be remembered for her devotion to church, family, community and love of travel and gardening.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, at Camp United Methodist Church, Shallotte.
