WILMINGTON — William H. Murray Sr., 83, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Lillie Lillian Murray of the home; children, William H. Murray Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina, Kenneth Murray Sr. (Dawn) of Lithonia, Georgia, Glendora Murray-French (Michael) of Durham and Diondre Murray (Lakima Wooten) of Wilmington; siblings, Maeola Murray of Scotts Hill, Lola Murray-Williams of Castle Hayne and George Murray (Henrietta) of Scotts Hill; a special brother-in-law, Arnold Brown Sr. of Scotts Hill; special sisters-in-law, Mable Murray of Fayetteville and Mamie Wright of Atkinson; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 7, at Pollock Cemetery in the Scotts Hill Community. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while attending the services, please adhere to the guidelines for social distancing. It is mandatory that proper faces mask be worn.
