WILMINGTON — Adam Matthew Meshaw, 41, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 13, 2020, at his home. He was born April 19, 1979, to Mike and Cheryl Meshaw.
Adam is survived by his parents; wife, Chandra Burhenn Meshaw; two sons, Austyn and Cyler; and brother, Michael, and his wife, Amy. He also leaves behind Chandra’s parents , Cecil and Carol Burhenn; and many other special friends and family members.
Adam enjoyed sports, whether watching them or playing them. He was an avid UNC Tar Heels and NY Mets fan. He loved coaching his two sons and watching them play. Adam liked to see young people succeed. He loved people and had many “best friends.”
He and his family attended Port City Community Church. He graduated from Wilmington Christian Academy in 1997 and went on to graduate from Tennessee Temple University.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 19, at Grace Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at noon, Monday, July 20, at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Grace Church and designate them for the Meshaw Education Trust. Gifts may be given online at Grace Church, 3551 S. Charles Blvd., Greenville, NC 27858. All memorial gifts will be used for Austyn’s and Cyler’s future educational needs.
