HAMPSTEAD — Richard Forest “Ricky” Riggs, 61, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020.
He was born on July 6, 1958, in Wilmington to the late Forest Lee Riggs and Lila Pauline (Sandlin) Riggs.
Richard, a U.S. Army veteran, was very humorous and always told jokes. He was a big fan of classic rock and a self-taught guitar player. Richard enjoyed smoking his cigars. He was a loving husband and father, and he especially loved his granddaughter.
Left to remember him are his loving wife of 38 years, Rochelle Diane “Shelley” King Riggs; sons, Kevin Riggs, and his fiancé, Dana Turner, and Jeremy Riggs; brother, Tony Lee Riggs Sr., and his wife, Penny; grandchild, Delilah Kay Riggs; sister-in-law, Roberta Hopkins, and her husband, Joe; and many other family members and friends.
