WILMINGTON — The Rev. Carlyle Timothy Norris, 93, left this earthly life for his eternal rest Wednesday, May 6, 2020.
He was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Pender County, the son of the late Benjamin Curtis and Janie Wells Norris. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, “Jr.” Norris, Vance Norris, Gene Allen Norris, I.B. Norris and Mary Ruth Parker.
The Rev. Norris was a member of Pine Valley Church of God.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his sons, Carlyle Timothy “Tim” Norris Jr., and his wife, Sherry, of Castle Hayne and Kenneth Dale Norris of Wilmington; daughter, Sandra Kay Carvel of Wilmington; grandchildren, Christel Norris Williams, and her husband, Jeff, Kelly Norris Cook, and her husband, Brandon, Tammy Norris Fowler, and her husband, Joey, Kevin Dale Norris and Jessica Marie Norris; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved Carlyle dearly.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held Friday, May 8, at Riverview Memorial Park Mausoleum, Watha.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
