CALABASH — Alan Jay Anderson, 85, died Saturday, April 18, 2020.
Born May 9, 1934, in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Algot Anderson and Gizella Yager Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Wall.
He was a retired telecommunicator, U.S. Navy veteran and member of Calabash American Legion and Calabash Elk’s Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Schmidt Anderson; daughter, Karen Wall of Annandale, New Jersey; sons, Scott Anderson, and his husband, Jose Pena, of Los Angeles, California, and Glenn Anderson, and his wife, AnnMarie, of Nesconset, New York; and grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, Kevin, Kathy and Julie.
Due to health concerns, services will be held at a later date.
