LELAND — Sherman L. Davis, 72, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carolyn Johnson Davis of the home; daughters, Shermaine Davis Plummer (Bryant) and Crystal Davis Canty (John), both of Leland; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 20, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. A celebration of Mr. Davis’ life will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at Hoopers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3627 Dogwood Road NE, Leland. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Per the executive order from Governor Roy Cooper, the maximum number of guests allowed during a visitation or funeral service will be 100 people.
