SUPPLY — Linda Mae Thompson, 66, passed away Tuesday Feb. 18, 2020, at her residence.
Linda was born Dec. 13, 1953, in Pinehurst to the late Raymond B. and Annie Mae Parks Thompson. Linda graduated from Cape Fear Community College, where she earned a paralegal degree. She was a former jailer and corporal of her shift with the BCSD. Linda was a member of Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church, Varnamtown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Thompson.
Surviving are her daughter, Tara Turner (T.J.); three brothers, Jackie Thompson, Ernest Thompson and Larry Thompson; two sisters, Carolyn Lockamy and Anna Robinson (Phil); two grandchildren, Shaianna and Thomas; numerous cousins; and fur baby, Gracie.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 15, at the Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church. A time of visitation with the family will be from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to services at the church.
