
OAK ISLAND — Anna Jane “Janie” Kells Wilson, 72, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at SECU Hospice of Brunswick.
Janie was born May 29, 1947, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late Lawrence Kells and Wilda Rose Kells.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Oak Island. She enjoyed teaching G.A.s, working with the youth and keeping the nursery at church.
One brother, Ronald Lee Kells; and one niece, Jeannie Kells, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Randolph “Randy” Wilson of Oak Island; son, Bryan Randolph Wilson, and his wife, Natalie of Ripley, West Virginia; brother, Edward Dwayne “Jake” Kells of Brunswick, Ohio; two grandchildren, Seth Randolph Wilson, and his wife, Stacia, and Abigail Rose Wilson; two nieces, Darlena and Susan; and three nephews, Edward, Stephen and Edward.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, Southport. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at First Baptist Church of Oak Island with the Rev. Charlie Carter officiating. Inurnment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
