WILMINGTON — Derek Bryan “Pookie” Sender, 39, beloved son of Jayne Winandy Sender and Dennis S. Sender; stepson of Pam Sender; brother of Jeremy, Danielle, Jason, Deanna and Scott; uncle to Autumn Sender; nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Winandy and Dr. and Mrs. Ira Sender, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, in Wilmington.
Derek loved gymnastics, soccer, wrestling, the Chicago Cubs, classic cars and his best canine buddy, Keiki. His passing leaves a painful void in the hearts of all those who love him.

Services for immediate family will be held in Wilmington, but we encourage all who knew and cared for him to please celebrate his life and memory.
