SNEADS FERRY — The Rev. Dr. Floyd D. Jones Sr., 91, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019.
His love and memories will remain in the hearts of his children, Gregory Jones (Sunnam) of Jacksonville, Terry Coleman (Clifton) of Camden, Delaware, Sheila Cannon Santos (Manny) of Leland, Floyd Jones Jr. of Jacksonville and Eunice Amelia Dingle (Joe) of Germantown, Maryland; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. A celebration of the Rev. Dr. Jones’ life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, at Trent River Oakey Grove Missionary Baptist Association Building, 417 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Interfaith Community Cemetery. A repast will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Santos Residence, 1113 Leesburg Drive, Leland.
