Jack C. Seals, 79, talented photographer who enjoyed his life on the coast

WILMINGTON — In loving memory of Jack C. Seals, 79, who was born on May 6, 1940, in Bishop, Virginia, and passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at home.

Jack was a military veteran serving 20 years, four months and seven days with the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He served one term in Vietnam and one in Korea. After retirement, he worked for CSR at Kennedy Space Center.

Jack will be loving remembered by his wife of 46 years, Ovida Ludwig Seals. He will be sorely missed by his four children, Ray, Terry, Eddie and Danny. He will be fondly remembered by six grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, Heather, D.J., Wayne and Timmy; and six great-grandchildren, Leland, Savannah, Trevor, Kierstin, Kyle and Lindsey.

Jack enjoyed his life on the coast and enjoyed fishing and family gatherings. He was a great photographer, as many have seen. He loved his family and loved the Lord.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington. Pastor J.D. Herchenhahn will officiate the service. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville. Military honors will be accorded by an U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
