SUNSET BEACH — William Dale “Spot” Buffkin, 59, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2019. He was born Nov. 25, 1959, in Horry County, South Carolina, to Edward H. Buffkin and Mildred Faye McLamb Buffkin. He was a retired power plant supervisor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan.
Surviving are his son, Bradley Buffkin (Bianca Norris) of Sunset Beach; daughter, Michelle Buffkin Cumbie (Steven) of Ash; brother, Ricky Buffkin (Frances) of Ocean Isle Beach; sisters, Debbie Smith (Allen) of Marathon, Florida, Brenda Duncan of Crystal River, Florida, and Dinah Mills of Tabor City; grandchildren, Drake, Zoey and Destiny; and companion of four years, Laura Smith of Sunset Beach.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Brunswick Funeral Service with the Rev. Larry Ward officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
