WILMINGTON — Nathaniel Redmond Minor, 68, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 7, 1950, in Sanford, Florida, the son of Nathaniel Redmond and Wilhelmina Cheely. Nathaniel worked as a payment disbursement specialist for the U.S. Treasury Department.
Nathaniel served his country with honor and distinction as a private in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Landing Road, Jacksonville. In recognition of Nathaniel’s honorable and faithful service to his country, there will be a rendering of military honors by the U.S. Army.
